Win a Labbot
How would you use Labbot in your research? Make the most interesting proposal and get a Labbot for free – valued at €49 000.
How to Participate
Participating is free and easy. Tell us about your research project and how you would use Labbot. Runners-up get a 25% discount on a Labbot instrument, valid for six months after the conference.
Submit your
proposal
To submit, fill out an online form telling us a little about yourself, the project you would use Labbot for, and how you would utilize it.
Selection
Process
A scientific committee will choose the winner. The panel of distinguished experts will judge the entries based on their innovation and significance.
Winner
Announcement
The winner will be announced on the final day of the symposium following the closing remarks, and the committee will be revealed.
Contents of the submission form
After answering some short questions about yourself and your affiliation, we would like you to describe the research conducted by your group and how a Labbot instrument could benefit that research.
Briefly describe your group's research
We would love to hear about your main themes of research and the questions that your group is trying to answer. Maximum 1500 characters.
Describe how you would use Labbot in your research project
Do you have a specific project where Labbot could be of assistance, or is there a new one that Labbot might unlock?
Please provide an overview of the project and the types of experiments that would be conducted on Labbot. Maximum 3000 characters.
Describe why using Labbot would give your research an advantage
What would be the biggest difference in your research if you have a Labbot in your lab? Maximum 1500 characters.

Applications
What can you investigate with Labbot?
Here are some of the most used ones.
Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation
Take full control of your condensates. Labbot can help you fine-tune solution conditions and map out phase behavior in unrivaled detail, giving you a better understanding of how droplets come and go.
Protein Interactions
Take classical methods to new heights with automated measurements. Detect ligand binding or oligomerization with FRET or by tracking changes in intrinsic fluorescence.
Amyloid Aggregation
Maximize the information obtained from each sample and untangle the complexities of fibril growth. By combining full spectrum readouts with light scattering and exercising complete control over sample conditions, you can easily set up your next amyloid experiment.
FAQ
If you can not find an answer to your question, come by our booth in the poster room – or send us an email.
The contest is open to all registered attendees of the EMBL Symposium Cellular Mechanisms Driven by Phase Separation who are affiliated with a research organisation.
Yes, participation is completely free of charge.
To participate, submit a brief description (up to 1500 characters) of your general research focus, a description of a project in which you could utilise a Labbot (up to 3000 characters), and an explanation of how a Labbot would provide an advantage in the intended project (up to 1500 characters).
Yes, multiple participants from the same research group are welcome to submit their contributions. The prize will be awarded to the research group affiliated with the writer of the winning proposal.
